Miami

Last night we arrived in Miami after (what seemed like) a whole day's flight. Although the plane lifted off on time at 12:36, the travel started much earlier than that for us. We got up with Hanna short after 6am (Hanna had to go to school). Bill and I worked out in the gym (Bill lifted weights and I ran for 1 hour - 7 miles). David was woken up, the bags were taken to the car, Christmas party invitations for the ward were distributed... all that before we left to drop off Bill's notes at his work. We picked up Hanna from school and found out that we had to fill out a form for her absence... We made it to the airport in great time, checked in and waited for 2 hours for the plane to come. In Houston we had a 3-hour layover that went by more or less quickly. Finally in Miami, we waited for about 40 minutes for a shuttle to take us to the Hampton Inn. We were in bed shortly after midnight, which really only was 10pm Utah time. Bill woke up at 7:15 Miami time and we checked out the free continental breakfast. We had egg omelet, bagel, yoghurt, biscuit and some kind of ham. It was very yummy. The weather was wonderful and Bill and I went on a little walk. When we came back we invited Hanna and David to come to the pool with us. The pool was ICE COLD! Bill swam a couple of laps anyway, but admitted that the temperature was more like the "polar dip" he and the scouts do at their scout camp. David had to follow his dad of course, especially after Bill told him to wait until he is older and more "tuff". Tonight we want to go out to eat: Cuban. Never had Cuban, I will report when we come back.
